The week of the 25th June 2007 will stay in our minds for a while here at Speed Plastics. Chesterfield was hit by the floods, and our factory had almost a foot of water throughout. The nearby river burst its banks and caused much damage in the surrounding area.

This all happened on the Monday evening, so on the Tuesday morning it was amazing how staff came to work, saw the state of the place, went back home to get waterproof footwear and came back to get stuck in with mops and buckets. By the Friday we were back to near full production capacity.
